Millions of people are trying to build their personal brands which in turn feeds their business. And most people fail. Why? It boils down to this sentence: β€œI’ll get started on it tomorrow.” The ultimate Ambition Annihilator.

This threatens your finances and future, and before you realise it, you're 70 and regret that you did not spend that 10 minutes to just create an account on LinkedIn, and just ignore all the advice I am about to give you. I've accumulated over 120,000 follower on LinkedIn alone over 3+ years and have made way to many mistakes along the way.

In this short blog, I will attempt to motivate you to get started which is hard enough. Newton's First Law of Motion states that a body at rest will remain at rest and a body in motion will stay in motion. So if you haven't started yet, chances are that without my kick in your butt, you will not even consider it tomorrow and in 3 months, let alone 2 years. So just stop lying to yourself.

See this article as some sort of "kick-off" for a ton of blog posts and videos that will follow to teach you on branding, and ultimately making more revenue - no matter which niche you're in.

All my success can be attributed to having an online presence!

The way to build a powerful personal brand is simple.

Your Unfair Advantage + Content Creation + Time Investment + Consistency + Monitor Results = Success
  1. An unfair advantage is something that cannot be easily copied or bought by your competitors.
  2. Content creation is easy - you write about your niche and schedule it using Publer
  3. The time invest when using Publer is enormously reduced as you can also repurpose old posts from the past!
  4. Consistency is to show up every day! I want you to at least spend 10 minutes a day in the beginning to optimise your profile and connect with likeminded people - once it becomes a habit, we won!
  5. Monitoring results can also be done using Publer or any other tool of your choice. Publer will also send you reports from time-to-time which is really handy.

The social platforms I generally recommend being on are LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter or even TikTok.

For business purposes, I recommend even YouTube in combination with LinkedIn!

When is the best time to get started online? Now!

I know it sounds tedious and boring to post every day, schedule posts, finding the right tools to facilitate your work (Publer πŸ˜‰), finding the right things to post, finding your target audience, thinking about the topics you want to be known for and all the other hurdles that you have to think about when becoming an influencer (or thought leader).

Some of my friends and colleagues (and even customers of me agency) do not even believe that I only spend 5 hours a week max to post 3-4 times a day, establish new connections, keep in touch with other people in my space, find new business opportunities and learn along the way - all at the same time. It is quite simple if you follow a proven process!

In today's digital age, personal branding has become a critical aspect of professional success. I would even go so far saying that your social footprint is your new CV. And it goes far beyond self-promotion and patting yourself on the back online telling people how great you are - because nobody cares.

Your primary goal should be to building a strong personal brand that teaches people about a particular subject you're passionate about which in turn opens doors to new opportunities, enhances your credibility, and positions you as a thought leader in your space. However, the majority of people procrastinate when it comes to building their personal brand, allowing the Ambition Annihilator to crush their dreams.

The Ambition Annihilator is the insidious force that sabotages our potential by delaying critical business decisions, and connected to that personal brand development.

The common belief of NPCs is that starting tomorrow or someday will be more convenient or productive.

NPC (/Ι›npisi/; each letter separately), derived from non-player character, is an internet meme that represents people who do not think for themselves or do not make their own decisions.

The truth is, ambitions don't wait for us. The longer we postpone building our personal brand, the more we surrender our aspirations and limit our growth. It's time to break free from the chains of procrastination.

Please never underestimate one thing: Consistency.

Consistency is the key to unlocking the full potential of your brand, business, relationship and everything else that's important to you. As technologies like AI advance at a rapid pace, personal branding strategies need to evolve as well.

Don't let the Ambition Annihilator sabotage your aspirations.
