Introduction

I am currently building the first of its kind engineering cohort & community for scientists, particularly engineers who seek to upskill in a highly competitive job market.

You'll be learning the strategies, systems and tools to become a future-proof 10x Engineer – without any burnout and while enjoying the journey! 🧠

In 5 weeks, we will work together on your ability to understand complex engineering concepts, use software to solve problems to complement your learnings, and accelerate your career!

⚠️ Participants from all tiers will receive software licenses up to 1 Month to solidify their learning.

Along the learning journey, you will find new friends, colleagues and supporters with the same goal in mind - succeeding in life & their career.

But what are the fundamental pillars when I started building the cohort and the exclusive Science Circle community? Let's have a look!πŸ‘‡

The Engineer Accelerator

The purpose of the whole cohort is to enhance your ability to apply strategies, systems and tools to become a future-proof 10x Engineer!

Mental Model 🧠

Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Simulation, Finite Element Method, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Career Development
Mental Model with its Pillars – Everything that you will learn about in the Cohort!

Pillars πŸ›οΈ

1. Coding πŸ’»

You will learn how to write code that automises, facilitates or solves specific engineering tasks. You will also learn to understand basic and advanced concepts of a programming language of your choice.

In the cohort, we will touch the surface of Python, Julia as well as Matlab.

πŸ‘‰ Courses will be linked here soon!

2. Artificial Intelligence 🧠

You will understand and build Machine Learning, Deep Learning and/or Reinforcement Learning applications to solve problems.

3. Simulation πŸ’»βš™οΈ

You will understand concepts in simulation, what the difference methods are and what to take care of when talking about models. And what is a model in the first place?

4. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) & Finite Element Method (FEM) πŸ’¦βš™οΈ

Understand and apply knowledge in the Finite Element Method and Computational Fluid Dynamics and approach simulation problems that can be solved with these methods.

5. Career Development πŸš€

Hone your CV/resume, upgrade your social profiles, accelerate career development and build your network!

1. Community Support πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ 🀝

Once you have access to the private circle of smart and inquisitive scientists, you can ask questions, suggest community features and network to make sure you see this place as your second home. If you're a premium member, you’ll have lifetime access to my community where you can interact with me or others – depending on what plan you choose.

Over 350 members joined the community already!

2. Data-Driven Learning πŸ•Έ

In this cohort, you will be able to get a baseline measurement of your engineering skills by answering questions before the cohort starts (or in a separate self-assessment course that will come soon). Β This covers important areas of your coding, simulation, career development, simulation tools and more.

At the end of the program you can take your snapshot assessment again and see how you've grown. Like rings on a tree, you can visually see the growth areas, what you need to focus on next, and where your strengths are. Pretty dope, right?

Data-Driven Learning Method Inside the Cohort

This cohort enables personalised learning and a data-driven approach to teaching at scale. When
you take a snapshot, you self-reflect on your current understanding and performance of engineering key skills.

The insight help you to review, prioritise and plan for the next step in your engineering journey. When you do a further snapshot, you can assess your effectiveness and track your progress - at no additional cost to you!

The whole cohort is optimised for you, your learnings, application of learned knowledge and career success - in 5 weeks, at speed!

Personalized Report πŸ“ˆ

Participants of the cohort will have access to a self-assessment tool that will help you 10x your learning experience and identify opportunities for growth!

The cohort provides you with a MySnapshot Accredited Assessment to students in the program. You will answer few questions and establish your baseline. After that, another snapshot survey will be done to assess how your skill level increased.

MySnapshot – Accredited Assessment Badge

πŸ‘‰ If you're not sure if the assessment is really worth it, I will soon launch a self-assessment standalone course for a few bucks. Stay tuned!

3. Accountability Buddies πŸ“š

At every start of the cohort, we will find you the perfect accountability buddy! Or you can simply choose your own "Science Circle Buddy" who wants to achieve similar goals as you do – plan together, succeed together!

Having an accountability partner can help you find the things that you should be focusing on for in the course and keeps your laser focus on.

Whenever you meet, you will go over your focus items and discuss what you have done or have to do in order to reach your goals. If you get distracted by a side project and fail to meet a deadline, you will have to be able to defend your actions to a third party, in this case your accountability partner.

A good indication that you are going down the wrong path and it's time for a course correction is if you can't make a good argument as to why you pivoted in the first place.

How regularly you meet is really up to you. Check-ins every other day with your peers to see how you’re doing on exercises, projects, career or simply declutter projects together is a good first start!

4. We Are Builders 🧬

Building and practical applications are deeply integrated into the community DNA. We encourage each other to strive for greatness and better by 1% every single day!

The building part is an inherent part of this cohort and will be achieved by the aforementioned talks and workshops where you'll build actionable and industry relevant skills.

Check out a few speakers of the cohortπŸ‘‡

5. Conceive πŸ’‘

All on-demand courses, talks and workshops inside the cohort are built with the Feynman Technique in mind!

Key ideas of the Feynman Technique:

  • Being able to break down Β the most complex topics πŸ“™
  • Reflect, Refine, and Simplify 🧠
  • Organise and Review πŸ—„οΈ

6. Document. Do Not Create! ✍️

I always encourage my community: Document. Do Not Create!

We will discuss strategies, systems and tools that you can use to start with your first blog, YouTube channel, or building your own Github profile.

We encourage everyone to step outside their comfort zone, not being judged (we're are all a little bit weird, aren't we πŸ€“) and do not try to be someone else.

πŸ‘‰ The principle is a little bit like becoming a stand-up comedian. You first imitate those you admire, then you slowly find your own niche you grow in.

More importantly, employers will eventually find your work. I cannot put any metrics to it but I can guarantee that your life will dramatically change if you join the cohort and follow the steps and guidelines we will put at your fingertips.

7. Build πŸ”₯

After document, there's build! There will be classes on how to build a productivity system around your busy day-to-day uni or professional life!

Although we live in a hectic world, there are simple tricks to boost your productivity, so you will learn how to drastically reduce stress and work towards deadlines efficiently.

We will cover the power of productivity & systems to make your mind more anti-fragile. 🧠

8. Cohort-Based Courses πŸ€“

Cohort-based learning is an educational approach in which a group of learners move together through a series of course.

Most often, the term cohort-based often refers to online or hybrid courses with collaborative elements. This learning model may also seem familiar from school, where you complete assignments with classmates.

Can't make it to a live session or hands-on workshop? Don't worry - I will upload the Zoom recordings and make them available on demand for you to watch whenever you have time. Questions can be asked in the

Bonus: Learn & Earn πŸ€‘

What? Earning money while learning? Yes! If you are convinced that my courses can also help others, you can earn a 15% commission on every course you sell – with almost zero work from your side!

You can either reach out to friends, integrate your special link inside of a blog post or pin the link on your social profiles – passive income, here we come! πŸš€

If you have an account on my cohort page already, you can immediately get started! In any other case, reach out to me and ask for access, I would be more than happy to have you on board and make this a win for all parties involved .

Side Note: It's good if you already have a PayPal account.

If that sounds interesting to you and if you'd like to join one of the cohorts running around 2-3 times a year, feel free to use the code "COHORT20" at checkout – only for loyal blog readers! πŸ™‚

If you would love to see blog posts on other topics, please leave a comment under this post - cheers!πŸ‘‡
